Props for my music video.

The jewellery will be worn by the artist in the video (me) to symbolise the love she has for her boyfriend/partners. It also shows even though he is no longer with her, her feels for him still remain.

The picture will be shown in the opening clips of the video to show the relationships between the two people. The picture will also be used in a shot of the girl crying looking at the photo, this it to show her missing her boyfriend/partner.

The dress will be used in the shots of the artist sing to the song. I have decided to use this dress because the black represents the sadness and mourning the girl is going through and the pink is a stereotypical colour associated with females.

Music video storyboard

I have decided to have some of my clips in black and white. This is to distinguish from what is mean to be the present time (clips in normal colour) and the past (clips in black and white) this will become clear to the audience at the end of the video when then artist is standing at her boyfriends gravestone which it set in the present. I have also decided to include the effect of fading the boyfriend out to show the audience that he is not longer around but the artist has not forgotten him.I also want the video to be as emotive as possible to fit in with the lyrics and message of the song.

Girls Aloud CD magazine advert analysis

The poster takes up have an A4 page. The advert  is not for an album but for a tour, this however does not affect its layout as it is still aimed at the same target audience and is still selling the artist. The Picture which takes up half of the advert attracts the audience’s attention as it is large and colourful. The title on the picture stands out most on the page due to its size, font and colouring. The font of the writing appearing in 3D makes the writing pop out of the page and the shaping of the writing also help it stand out. The five silhouettes show the audience the genre of music being a girl band even if there wasn’t a title. The information in separate from the picture and separated by different colours read and black.

CD magazine advert analsysis- Gwen Stefani Hollaback girl

Whole page advert, but the CD cover itself only takes up around a ¼ of the page. There is a lot of emphasis on the HMV new single writing as this is at the top of the page and is written in large font and in black bold writing.  The album cover itself contains bright colours and pictures which stand out well on the black background. Information about the album is written to the right hand side of the CD cover on the black background in white writing which makes it stand out. Overall the advert is simple yet effective with the chosen colours used to highlight specific parts of the page.

Pink - Who Knew HD

.
I have looked at the official video for my chosen song so that I am able to the artists original interpretation. It also allows me to think about possible ways in which i can portray the song in others ways. The fist way in which my video is going to be different from the original is that i am going to use a copy write free acoustic cover version. This will have a big impact on the video as the acoustic cover emotes more emotion compared to the original.

The possible ideas i have come up with are:
1. Two best friends who have known each other since they were 3 separate as one of their dads gets a job in America and have to more, meaning they never see each other again.
2. A young couple who are in spreadable are taken away from one another by a tragic accident where the boy is killed.
3. A family lose a child in a car crash.
The idea I have decided to take forward is number two. I have decided this idea as I feel it will allow me to show more emotion through the music video and also it is the most relatable from the audience to use a couple.
